Tides of Time

In honor of having managed to eke out a modicum of time, I have an absolutely marvelous story for everyone. I think it's a fitting piece for this time of year; it has the temporary death of winter followed inevitably and eventually by the new growth of spring. Very "legend-ish" it truly makes one feel the mythic qualities so often striven for--and here, achieved! This can easily be enjoyed solely for its aesthetic qualities, for it is truly just a beautiful piece of writing. However, if you happen to like either (or both) The Lord of the Rings or the Legend of King Arthur, you should really make it a point to read this. A short story, it won't take up much of your time, but it will affect your mood for a time after--not in a bad way, not at all! The wording and descriptions are beautiful, and you can tell that there is quite a lot of time put into this. The story does what Tolkien always hoped for, and makes The Lord of the Rings into the legend he designed it to be. Tides of Time links Tolkien to Arthur, making two legends seemlessly into one. You ought to come away with a delightful little shiver once you reach the end! A fantastic piece of work; please do check it out! http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1970827/1/

Hi, Rhys! Avalon Estel here! I'm currently reading your fic "Exploring Darkness", and I love it. "Tides of Time" is incredible! I am a huge fan of Arthurian legend (love the tale of Tristan ans Iseult best. So sad!), and of course, as you know, Lord of the Rings, so I had to read this! Haven't heard from you in a while. How are things going? I wanted to tell you that I think you're really sweet. All your wonderful reviews give me a lot of encouragement, and you give me hope that one day I may become a professional writer, my greatest dream.

Lots of hugs,
Avie

Aw, Avie! That's wonderful! Things are going well for me--too well, I suppose, for all of you, because I'm very happily busy, which means that I am very UNhappily not getting much writing/updating done! Arthurian...yeah...*sighs and drifts away on happy mythical dreams a moment before coming back to reality* Ahem, yes... On the publishing note, I found this really great website! Apparently there are a few companies that do this sort of thing, but I just found out about this recently; they will publish your book(s) for you! I'm excited, and am now even more inspired to plug away at that "original" story that's been flitting about my brain for a while. Keep dreaming! :)
