Mmm...chocolate...
Okay, it's late and I'm silly. But I'm sitting here eating nutella, and I realized that there are lots of people who have never heard of it. I was made aware of this recently when I used a jar of nutella in a still life for my evil Drawing II teacher (I swear, if Melkor bred...she'd be the result) and she tried to tell me it was drawn wrong because it wasn't circular. I'm like, does it say peanut butter anywhere on the lable, dorkfish? The jar's an oval...I do know how to draw a jar...sheesh... Anyway, nutella is the greatest thing in the world. It's right up there with popcorn as one of the chief food groups. Nutella, for those who don't know, is a chocolate-hazlenut spread. Think peanut butter, only creamier and made out of chocolate. Mmmmm... Anyway, it's delicious on just about anything. Seriously, anything you could even imagine nutella tasting good on, it does. Tastes good on a spoon, too...which is how I'm eating it right now... Mmmmm... Anyway, just thought I'd do my part to introduce the most delicious spreadable substance ever invented to anyone I could. Trust me, search your grocery store, and try some! I've put a link there, just click the title, and it will take you to the manufacturer's site so you can see what you're looking for. I'm personally fond of the recipe page, particularly the one that says "Bread." Here's what you do, and I quote: Step 1: Open Jar. Step 2: Spread Nutella on bread. Step 3: Place bread in mouth and enjoy. Repeat as desired. That last bit basically means, until you run out of bread. Trust me, peanut butter's just not cutting it. Try nutella. Mmmm...chocolate... *goes off to eat some more* Gods, I'm really bad for people's diets! ;) ...but then, the lable doesn't look like it'd be all that bad for you...that I can tell... Doesn't matter! It's yummy!

Wow, it must be really late if you can sit and write about a nut-chocolate spread. It sounds really good, though, and yes, I've heard of it. Never had it, unfortunately, but I've heard of it. That's really cool about Mellyn being nominated, and I hope it wins. I've read it, and it's a superb fic. I read up on the Mithril Awards on their website, and I think I'm going to submit Requiem of Sorrow for best drama or something.
On the Phantom note, are we talking about the movie or the stage version? I'd like to see either, actually.
And a weird little thing from my life: we have an algae fish named Gollum. It's really funny how he got his name, actually. I was joking around and said, "How about we name him Gollum?" And everyone else was like, "Hey, that's a good name!" So it stuck. We also have five goldfish named as follows: Tiger (it's black and orange striped), Sunset (plain orange), Hammerhead (it's got bulgy eyes that make it look like a hammerhead shark), and Squishy and Marlin (both names come from the movie Finding Nemo). Do you have any pets?

Yeah, it was late...but nutella is good...
Anyway, the Phantom I had just seen was the movie, but I've seen the stage version I think three times now. The movie is very close to the musical, which made me happy. I'd rather see the stage, because it's better, but the movie is really great and much easier to get to, so well worth it!
Hello to Gollum; quite a fitting name, methinks. We have two kittens, Merlin and Griffin. I've wanted a cat all my life (seriously, since I was old enough to talk, I've been asking for a cat), but we could never get one because of dad's office (eye doctor) being in the house; can't have cat hair floating around. The parentals split last winter, though, so since the new house doesn't have to deal with being a home-office mom decided we could have a cat. We went, her and my brother and I, to the pet store to pick out a kitten from the Humane Society and they were all just soooo cute and I fell in love with these two brothers named Merlin and Arthur, and Mike liked one two weeks older named Fraiser, and we couldn't end up agreeing on which one to pick so we told mom she had to decide. She said we could each pick one! After recovering from the death-by-shock that had just been inflicted, we did just that, and I eventually picked Merlin over Arthur because Mike liked him a little better. Mike got Fraiser, who was renamed by the time we got them home, and they have just been so adorable! Hmm, I wonder if I can get some pics up of them... Anyway, Griffin has no bones, he's a liquid. Seriously, you pick him up and he just flops. Merlin is spastic and insane. Griffin sleeps, Merlin sprints around like a derranged maniac chasing anything stringy and dangling. They're the most adorable things in the whole world and I really miss them down here at college. And, um, in case that little ramble didn't tell you, I'm really happy about having kitties. :)
